On January 23rd, the Latin American Research Institute of China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC) and the Latin American Research Institute of Dongguan University of Technology jointly held a series of lectures. The event invited Professor Wang Ping, Executive Director of the Latin American Research Institute of CLTTC and Professor of Nankai University, to give a keynote speech on "Some Reflections on Writing Policy Advisory Reports". Chen Baiman, Director of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, as well as relevant representatives from the School of Literature and Media and the International School of Dongguan University of Technology, attended the activity.
During the lecture, combining her profound theoretical accumulation and rich practical experience, Professor Wang Ping systematically elaborated on the functional positioning, writing requirements, methods and skills of policy advisory reports. Subsequently, the participating representatives conducted in-depth discussions with Professor Wang Ping on specific issues such as topic selection, data application, and feasibility of countermeasures.
In the interactive session, Chen Baiman introduced the construction overview of CLTTC to the participants, elaborated on the positive progress made by the center in promoting China-Latin America technological cooperation and transfer since its establishment. He also stated that in the future, relying on the platform advantages of the Latin American Research Institute, the center will continue to build a high-level academic exchange platform between China and Latin America, providing intellectual support for the production of high-quality Chinese policy advisory reports and the conduct of sound and friendly dialogues between China and Latin America.
This in-depth exchange is a specific practice of the Latin American Research Institute of CLTTC to deepen the training of talents in national policy research, contributing wisdom and strength to further promoting China-Latin America technology transfer and cooperation. Next, the Latin American Research Institute of CLTTC will link more Chinese universities, scientific research institutions and other innovation entities, and work together to improve the academic research capabilities of relevant researchers in national policy research, policy advisory report writing and other aspects, injecting new momentum into the scientific and efficient decision-making of the Chinese government and the deepening of China-Latin America scientific and technological cooperation.
Introduction of Professor Wang Ping
Professor Wang Ping is Director, Professor and PhD Supervisor of the Latin American Research Center at Nankai University. She also serves as Executive Director of the Latin American Research Institute of CLTTC and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Latin American History. Her main research directions include Latin American economic history, Latin American economic thought, and Latin American regional integration research. With profound academic attainments and rich practical experience, Professor Wang Ping has written numerous valuable policy advisory reports for the government and relevant institutions. Her viewpoints are accurate and insightful, and her suggestions are practical and feasible, playing an important role in promoting policy formulation and social development.
