On August 16, a seminar between the China-Latin America Technology Transfer Center and Uruguay's National Secretariat for Science and Knowledge Valorization (SENCI) was successfully held in Shenzhen. Zhang Fanjing, Director of the China-Latin America Technology Transfer Center Office, led the delegation in the exchange. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics including cooperation in innovation resources between China and Latin America, jointly exploring new pathways for bilateral scientific and technological collaboration.

The representatives from Uruguay attending this meeting included Silvana Ravia, the Chief Coordinator of the Secretariat, Bruno Demoro, the Technical Specialist, Viviana Mezzetta, the International Cooperation Coordinator, and the Secretary of the Secretariat. The representatives from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions based on the principle of mutual benefit and win-win results, and established a communication link to facilitate the exchange of scientific and technological resources and the implementation of innovative cooperation between the two regions.

During the discussion, both sides introduced the functions of the platform, scientific and technological resources, and cooperation directions to each other. Based on the cooperation of the China-Uruguay Technology Transfer Center to be established in 2025, they conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges, and reached consensus on matters such as regular connections, agricultural science and technology integration, and the linkage of innovation resources.

CLTTC will take this discussion and exchange as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in science and technology between China and Latin America, smooth bilateral communication and cooperation channels, promote the mutual empowerment and complementary advantages of innovation resources between China and Latin America, and facilitate the high-quality development of China-Latin America scientific and technological cooperation.
