The First China-SCO Sci-Tech Innovation Cooperation Conference was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province from June 29 to 30. Hosted by the China-SCO Sci-Tech Innovation Cooperation Center under the theme "Smart SCO, Innovating the Future – Building an Open and Inclusive International Science and Technology Cooperation Ecosystem," the conference brought together nearly 400 Chinese and international guests, including dignitaries from SCO member states, academicians, experts, leading researchers from universities and research institutes, and representatives of science and technology innovation enterprises. Huang Qiongli, Program Officer of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC), attended the conference as a representative and joined discussions on pathways to improve and optimize cross-border technology transfer.

During the opening ceremony, the conference hosted the award ceremony for the Fifth SCO Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the collective signing of 11 science and technology innovation cooperation projects among SCO member states, and the certification ceremony for domestic hubs and overseas sub-centers. Additionally, a compilation of 100 scientific and technological achievements and 100 demands between China and SCO countries was released, covering six major fields including artificial intelligence and agricultural technology.

Six thematic exchange activities were held in parallel with the conference. Huang Qiongli attended the Symposium on Cross-Border Commercialization of Global Technological Achievements and International Technology Transfer Cases as a representative and delivered a keynote speech. She noted that as an important platform for implementing the Belt and Road Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Action Plan, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center has always focused on technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation, building a full-chain integrated service system through three key initiatives: establishing an overseas collaboration network, developing signature brand events, and improving full-chain service support, thereby facilitating the cross-border commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. During the panel discussion, Huang Qiongli also engaged in in-depth exchanges with representatives from technology transfer institutions including the China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center, the China-Arab States Technology Transfer Center, and the China-SCO Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Center on industry-wide issues such as cross-border intellectual property protection, building consensus for coordinated development.

Going forward, the CLTTC will continue to leverage scientific and technological cooperation as a binding force, working with diverse global innovation stakeholders to improve regional collaborative innovation systems and jointly build an open, inclusive, and pragmatic global science and technology innovation cooperation network, contributing sustained efforts to the coordinated development of global new quality productive forces and the shared prosperity of all countries.
