On January 28th, Chen Baiman, Director of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, led a delegation to visit Guangzhou National Laboratory and held a symposium with representatives including Zhao Lulu, Deputy Director of the Cooperation and Exchange Department of Guangzhou National Laboratory. Focused on in-depth exchange of views on scientific and technological cooperation, the symposium pooled wisdom from all parties to explore new space for China-Latin America technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation.

During the symposium, Chen Baiman introduced the establishment background, development history and current construction progress of China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, laying a foundation for strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. After in-depth discussions, the two parties reached multiple consensuses on cooperation in the scientific and technological field. They will deepen collaborative cooperation relying on the China-Brazil Technology Transfer Center, further establish and improve the cooperation mechanism, and build an innovation model of "center operation + laboratory R&D" to create new opportunities for in-depth cooperation in biomedicine. Meanwhile, discussions were conducted on matters such as biodiversity conservation, co-hosting brand activities for China-Latin America technological cooperation and development, and joint training of scientific and technological talents between China and Latin America, so as to further broaden the path of scientific and technological cooperation.

This symposium and exchange not only built a communication and docking platform between the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center and Guangzhou National Laboratory, but also served as an important opportunity to deepen China-Latin America scientific and technological cooperation and consolidate development consensus. Looking forward to the future, the two parties will further strengthen scientific and technological collaboration, explore new cooperation models, continuously expand the boundaries and upgrade the level of China-Latin America scientific and technological cooperation, and inject a steady stream of new vitality into the development of China-Latin America relations in the new era.
