The 2025 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum was held at the Wuhan East Lake International Conference Center from November 19 to 22. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Hubei Province, the forum brought together over 800 participants from various sectors across China and nearly 30 Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries and regions. Yao Zeyi, Project Director of the CLTTC, was invited to attend the event.

Centered on the theme "New Opportunities in Innovation Cooperation, Working Together for Modernization," and guided by the principles of technology empowerment and industrial collaboration, the forum focused on key directions including industrial alignment, technological innovation, and modern agriculture. It comprehensively showcased the forefront areas and diverse opportunities within China-Africa cooperation, demonstrating the spirit of open, inclusive, and shared partnership across multiple levels.

During the forum, 39 cooperation agreements, including the China-Tanzania Joint Laboratory for Disease Prevention and Public Health, were successfully signed, while 23 service platforms, such as the "Africa Intelligent Construction Promotion Center," were inaugurated collectively. Additionally, three significant outcomes were released, including the Africa Scientific Action Plan for Food, Water Resources, Environmental Protection and Development (2026-2030). The series of consensuses and achievements reached during the meeting injected new momentum into deepening China-Africa innovation cooperation, providing solid support for both sides to jointly embrace a modernized future.
