In alignment with the innovation-driven development strategy outlined at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the deployment for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which aims to achieve high-quality industrial development supported by technological innovation, the "Zhuhai Series Events for Promoting Domestic and International Sci-Tech Achievement Transfer and Transformation – Brazil-Portugal Sci-Tech Enterprise Roadshow" was successfully held in Zhuhai, Guangdong on December 3. Tan Wanwen and Wu Leping, Administrative Director of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC), were invited to attend the event.

The event, themed "Gathering Wisdom in Macao & Zhuhai, Connecting with the Global Chain," featured presentations from nine enterprises from Brazil and Portugal. These presentations showcased the breadth and depth of scientific and technological cooperation among Zhuhai-Hong Kong, Zhuhai-Macao, and China-Portuguese-speaking countries across multiple dimensions, including biomedicine and health, artificial intelligence, and the low-altitude economy. This comprehensively demonstrated the vitality of open, integrated, and collaborative regional innovation. During the event, the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Continuously Promoting the Construction of the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Science and Technology Exchange and Cooperation Center" was signed, and signing ceremonies were held for the "Co-establishment of a Joint Laboratory for Brain-Computer Interface and Neuromodulation" and the "Co-establishment of a Joint Innovation Laboratory." By adopting an approach where the government sets the stage and enterprises play the leading role, the event highlighted achievements in industry-university-research collaboration from relevant government departments in Zhuhai, Macao, and other regions.

These outcomes have paved new pathways for the continuous promotion and local implementation of domestic and international scientific and technological achievements in Zhuhai, and they play a crucial supporting role in deepening international scientific and technological cooperation within the Greater Bay Area. This event not only provided an efficient channel for connecting international technological resources with the industrial needs of the Bay Area but also strengthened the practical pathways for collaborative innovation in the Macao-Zhuhai-Hengqin region. Moving forward, the CLTTC will deepen its collaboration with platforms such as the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Science and Technology Exchange and Cooperation Center. This will involve intensifying efforts both broadly and deeply to facilitate the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, thereby contributing to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as an influential global hub for scientific and technological innovation.
