CLTTC Participated in Key Activities of the Second Belt and Road Science and Technology Exchange Conference and Delivered a Special Presentation

On June 11, the Second Belt and Road Science and Technology Exchange Conference was solemnly inaugurated in Chengdu. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Association for Science and Technology, the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and the People's Government of Chongqing Municipality, this conference attracted over 1,500 representatives from the global scientific and technological community to attend the opening ceremony. Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Vice Premier of the State Council, graced the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. He emphasized the significance of deepening international cooperation in scientific and technological innovation and promoting the establishment of a sustainable Belt and Road Science and Technology Community.

Chen Baiman, the Executive Director of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, was invited to participate in a key event of the conference - the "Belt and Road" International Technology Transfer Case Sharing and Technology Docking. At the event, he presented a case study and engaged in in-depth exchanges on the practical experiences and innovative achievements of China-LAC technology transfer cooperation.Director Chen Baiman systematically introduced the innovative practices of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center to the attendees. He provided a detailed interpretation of the center's trinity development model of "platform-network-mechanism" and the full-chain service system centered around the four core components of "research, education, business, and law". This service system aims to offer comprehensive support for China-LAC scientific and technological cooperation from multiple dimensions, including think tank support, talent cultivation, market operation, and rights protection.

During the conference, the team of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center actively interacted with the attendees, learning from the experiences of excellent domestic and international projects. This interaction helped the center accumulate valuable insights for optimizing its service functions and enhancing its cross-border technology transfer capabilities.

The Second Belt and Road Science and Technology Exchange Conference, themed "Jointly Build an Innovation Path and Promote Cooperative Development", has established an important platform for international scientific and technological cooperation. Taking this opportunity, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center will continue to deepen the construction of the technology transfer mechanism, strengthen regular exchanges and cooperation with technology transfer institutions along the Belt and Road, and make proactive contributions to the establishment of an open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial Belt and Road Science and Technology Community.
