CLTTC visits Guangzhou International Cooperation Center to explore new pathways for technology transfer and collaboration

On January 16, Chen Baiman, Executive Director of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC), along with Project Directors Zhang Fanjing and Yu Tianzuo, visited the Guangzhou International Cooperation Center (GICC). They held a working meeting with key representatives including Li Yehua, Deputy Director of the Coordination Division of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality; Guo Huiqing, Director of GICC; Li Wei, Deputy Director of GICC; Chen Rongju, Head of the Foreign Affairs Section of the Tianhe District Government Office; Yu Zijian, Director of the Tianhe District Bureau of Science, Technology, Industry and Information; and Guan Zhaochong, General Manager of the Guangzhou High-Tech Group.The discussions comprehensively deepened mutual understanding and collaboration among all parties. Through brainstorming and in-depth deliberations, the participants jointly explored innovative and feasible pathways for China-Latin America technology transfer and cooperation.

During the meeting, Executive Director Chen Baiman elaborated on the establishment background, development trajectory, and current key initiatives of the CLTTC. He emphasized that as a pivotal platform connecting China and Latin America in technological innovation and industrial collaboration, the Center has been committed to fostering bilateral engagement in technology transfer, talent development, and innovation cooperation. The discussions focused on critical topics such as technological innovation, project collaboration, and resource sharing. Representatives from GICC expressed their intention to leverage their institutional resources to further promote technology exchange and development with Latin America.

This meeting served as a significant opportunity to enhance cooperation among all participating institutions. Moving forward, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center and GICC will strengthen their collaboration, explore new partnership models, and advance China-Latin America scientific and technological cooperation to deeper and broader levels, thereby injecting fresh momentum into the strategic partnership between the two regions.
