On March 22, 2024, Chen Baiman, Director of the Office of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, Shi Zuoyu, Deputy Director, and representatives from the cooperative law firm visited the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. Representatives from all parties conducted in-depth discussions on core topics such as jointly building a China-Latin America International Intellectual Property Center, resolving intellectual property disputes among China-Latin America enterprises, and providing arbitration mediation services. Founded in 1983, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration is the first arbitration institution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region, having created many firsts in the development of China's international arbitration. It has established several professional service platforms, including the High-Tech and Intellectual Property Arbitration Center, the China-Africa Joint Arbitration (Shenzhen) Center, and the North American Tribunal Center, and has accumulated rich practical experience in handling arbitration cases involving Latin American regions.

Next, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center plans to designate the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration as the arbitration institution in relevant contract terms. Both parties will draw up new development cooperation plans, strengthen cooperation in areas such as China-Latin America technology transfer, intellectual property protection, and international commercial disputes, promote the construction of a high-quality international business environment for enterprises, and jointly contribute to leading China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation into a new stage.
