On the afternoon of September 11th, a delegation led by researcher Zhang Mingming, the chief scientist of the Rural Biomass Energy and Human Settlements Development Strategy and Policy Team at the Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, visited the CLTTC for a discussion and exchange. Office Deputy Director Yao Fang and Project Supervisor Yao Zeyi accompanied the visit and participated in the discussion.

The visiting team first visited the center's exhibition hall to learn about the background of the center's establishment, its development process, and its achievements in technology transfer, and industrial cooperation between China and Latin America. During the meeting， the center introduced its business divisions, platform resources and international cooperation channels. The Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs introduced its research capabilities in the field of biomass renewable energy and the foundation and progress of cooperation with Latin America. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on the development of biomass energy such as biogas projects and biogas natural gas, technical standard alignment, and agricultural science and technology cooperation for Latin America, and conducted preliminary discussions on the future direction of practical cooperation.

Both sides unanimously stated that they would take this visit and exchange as an opportunity to further enhance communication and coordination, fully leveraging their respective scientific research resources and international cooperation channels, to explore practical cooperation in the fields of biomass energy and sustainable agricultural development in the region. Together, they aim to promote advanced and applicable agricultural technologies in China to reach Latin American and Caribbean countries, and contribute to the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative".
