On August 10th, representatives including Li Shichun, the dean of the Law Department of Xiangtan University, Chen Shuangxi, the Party Secretary of the university, Du Yingfa, the Party Secretary of the Law and Social Work College of Dongguan University of Technology, and Ye Jiugeng, a member of the Party Committee and vice president of the Dongguan Science and Technology Association, visited the CLTTC. The symposium was chaired by Gong Hongbing, the vice president of the Dongguan Intellectual Property Research Institute. All parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the construction of the China-Latin America International Intellectual Property Service Center and the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents.

During the exchange, Chen Baiman, the director of the CLTTC, stated that the center adheres to technology transfer as its main line, relying on a flexible and efficient operation mechanism and a three-dimensional scientific and technological cooperation system, and is currently promoting a full-chain service for enterprises going global, including foreign-related intellectual property protection and cross-border compliance, and continuously expanding the cooperation in intellectual property services between China and Latin America.

Li Shichun, the dean of the School of Law at Xiangtan University, stated that Xiangtan University has resources in the field of intellectual property and looks forward to strengthening cooperation in intellectual property services and talent training for technology transfer between the two parties. Huang Junhui, the vice dean of the Law and Social Work College of Dongguan University of Technology, introduced the characteristic curriculum system for international law talent training, providing legal support and intellectual backing for China-Latin America cooperation. The representatives from both universities proposed to draw on existing China-Africa cooperation experiences and further expand China-Latin America cooperation. Ye Jiugeng, the member of the Party Committee and vice chairman of the Dongguan Science and Technology Association, suggested pooling various resources and strengthening cooperation in the field of intellectual property.

During this exchange, all parties reached cooperation intentions in areas such as intellectual property services, research projects, and talent cultivation. In the future, the CLTTC will continue to gather the strength of universities and professional institutions, explore and improve intellectual property services for Latin America and the Caribbean region, facilitate cross-border protection, transformation and application of innovative achievements, and provide professional support for China-Latin America scientific and technological innovation cooperation.
