On March 12, Renato Martins da Silva, Associate Professor of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and Yolanda Porto Muniz Martins, Associate Professor of the State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro, visited the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center and held cooperation exchanges with representatives such as Chen Baiman, Director of the center, to expand new space for multi-field cooperation.

During the exchanges, Chen Baiman introduced the construction progress and achievements of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center in serving the overall national diplomatic work and building a China-Latin America technology innovation and transformation system. Based on their respective professional backgrounds and cooperation visions, the participants conducted in-depth discussions on the cooperation potential in the directions of international talent training, trade resource docking, and technology achievement transfer. Regarding the ongoing preparation for the second session of the "Latin American Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program", both sides expressed positive intentions for cooperation. Brazilian scholars stated that they would recommend outstanding young talents from their country to participate, contributing to China-Latin America scientific, technological and cultural exchanges. In addition, the two sides also plan to strengthen trade cooperation in scientific and technological fields such as biomedical equipment, promote the in-depth integration of science, technology and economy and trade, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

In the future, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center will rely on the initial consensus reached in this exchange to further promote in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the fields of technology transfer, scientific research innovation and youth training, and boost the steady development of China-Latin America science and technology cooperation with a higher level and more efficient comprehensive services.
