China-LAC Technology Transfer Center's First Overseas Innovation Cooperation Center Landed at the University of Havana, Cuba

On the morning of May 26th, with the joint efforts of Chinese and foreign parties, the first overseas innovation cooperation center of China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (from now on referred to as CLTTC),  The first overseas innovation cooperation center, "China-Latin America-Cuba Innovation Cooperation Center," was inaugurated at the University of Havana. Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong Province; Ma Hui, Chinese Ambassador to Cuba; Academician Miriam Nicado Garcia, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, State Councillor and President of the University of Havana, Dionisio Zaldivar Silva, Vice President of the University of Havana, University of Havana, Dionisio Zaldivar Silva, Vice President of the University of Havana, Li Zhonghong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongguan Institute of Science and Technology, and Chen Baiman, Director of the Office of the China-Latin America Technology Transfer Center attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Governor Wang Weizhong and Academician Miriam Ricardo Garcia, President of the University of Havana, had a friendly talk. Both sides agreed to support the promotion of more universities in Guangdong and the University of Havana to establish exchanges and cooperative relations and work together to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as agriculture, science and technology innovation, education, and culture. Under the joint witness of all parties, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center(CLTTC)and the University of Havana signed a letter of intent on cooperation.

As the first overseas innovation cooperation center of CLTTC, the establishment of the "China-Latin America-Cuba Innovation Cooperation Center" is an important initiative to carry out the instruction of constructing CLTTC with high standards and quality under the support and guidance of the provincial party committee and the provincial government. It will be committed to building a service platform for resource docking between China and Cuba and establishing a mechanism for talent exchange to construct a higher level of cooperation between China, Latin America, and Cuba. It will be committed to building a resource docking service platform between China and Cuba and establishing a talent exchange mechanism to create a higher technology transfer collaboration network between China and Latin American and Caribbean countries.

Relying on the platform of "China-Latin America-Cuba Center for Innovation and Cooperation," CLTTC will join hands with the University of Havana to further strengthen the exchanges between Chinese and Cuban scientific research institutes, colleges and universities, and enterprises and actively promote and facilitate practical cooperation in the fields of technology transfer, achievement transformation, scientific research, talent cultivation, and other areas so that we can share the opportunities of development based on the mutual benefits and win-win situation and contribute positive power to the construction of a community of destiny between China and Latin America. The delegation will also share development opportunities based on mutual benefits and a win-win situation and contribute to building the China-Latin America community of destiny.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Energy Laboratory of the University of Havana and had friendly exchanges and discussions on photovoltaic energy, economic and trade investment, and cooperation for the benefit of the people. They aimed to fully exploit CLTTC's platform advantages as an international technology transfer center and to create a broader space for cooperation between China, Cuba, and other Latin American countries.
