On the morning of September 11, a Latin American university academic delegation, organized by the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA) and led by its President Gisela Veritier, visited the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center for research and exchange. The delegation was composed of representatives from universities and academic institutions in six countries—Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador. Yao Fang, Deputy Director of the Center’s Office, and Huang Qiongli, Project Manager, received the delegation.

During the visit, Huang Qiongli introduced the delegation to the Center’s exhibition hall, providing a systematic overview of the Center’s background, functional positioning, and key achievements as China’s only comprehensive transnational technology transfer institution serving Latin America and the Caribbean. Through on-site visits and briefings, the delegation gained a further understanding of the Center’s platform development and its cooperation with Latin America.

As an important platform for implementing the Belt and Road Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Action Plan, the Center integrates resources from Chinese and Latin American universities, research institutions, and enterprises to promote deep industry-university-research integration. This exchange laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two sides. Taking this as a new starting point, both sides will rely on CLADEA’s university network and the Center’s science and technology cooperation system to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, carry out practical cooperation in talent cultivation, technology matching, and the application of research outcomes, help China’s advanced and applicable technologies enter Latin America, and jointly write a new chapter in China-LAC cooperation in education, science, and technology.
