该技术适用的具体领域为海水淡化及高浓度工业污水净化领域，可用于净化含染料，重金属，农药，抗生素，油污等污水及各种高浓度污水(不包括一些水溶性好、分子量低、挥发性强的有机物)，如矿区重金属排水、医疗污水及高盐污水等。
