Yuan Jin Yun, Chief Scientist of CLTTC, and Chen Baiman, the person in charge of the development of CLTTC, went to South China Agricultural University (SCAU) along with Xu Jie, Deputy Secretary General of SCAU, and a grade-two Inspector of Science and Technology, Mr. Gong Jianwen. On this occasion, Professor Deng Yaqun, Vice-President of South China Agricultural University (SCAU), addressed the Conference and presented an overview of technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation in China-LAC to the participants and held discussions and exchanges with them. In the afternoon, the research team, together with Mr Xu Jie and Mr Liang Qinru, Deputy Director General of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, went to the East China Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ACAS) for a study tour. Mr. Yi Hakujun, Vice President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences (AAAS), welcomed the participants to the meeting and introduced the international cooperation between AAAS and the Institute of Energy (IEA).
