On December 18, the "2025 Humen Town Science and Technology Forum" was held at the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center. A delegation of nearly 20 high-tech entrepreneurs from Humen Town visited the center, where both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as industrial digital transformation and cross-border resource alignment.

The entrepreneur representatives first visited the exhibition hall of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, where they gained a direct understanding of the center’s international technology transfer network layout, its multidimensional science and technology cooperation ecosystem centered on "research, education, business, and law," as well as its achievements in China-LAC economic development, scientific exchange, and technology transfer.

During the exchange meeting, Yao Zeyi, Project Director of China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, highlighted the resource matching and cross-border collaboration functions of the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Transaction Platform (referred to as the "Transaction Platform"), as well as the enabling value of the Guangdong Association for China-LAC Technology Cooperation. Both sides focused on addressing challenges such as the disconnect between industry, academia, and research, high costs of digital transformation, and difficulties in cross-border alignment. Through pragmatic discussions, they reached a cooperation consensus for enterprises to join the Transaction Platform’s "Product Trading Center" and become members of the Guangdong Association for China-Latin America Technology Cooperation.

Following the event, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center will build on its existing cooperation foundation with the Dongguan University of Technology to strengthen regular engagement with the participating Chinese enterprises. It will integrate the cross-border resources of university research and China-LAC businesses, aiming to empower industrial upgrading through technology.
