On March 20, Zhang Fanjing and Yu Tianzuo, Project Managers at the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC), held a meeting with Guo Cunhai, Director of the Department of Social and Cultural Studies of the Institute of Latin American Studies, and Deputy Director Lin Hua. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the China-Ecuador Chamber of Commerce, including President Chi Bin, and Shen Zhengliang, President of the Taizhou-Mexico Chamber of Commerce. The participants engaged in in-depth discussions on advancing China-Latin America cooperation.

During the meeting, Director Guo emphasized that technological innovation is a vital bridge for China-LAC collaboration. He proposed closer synergy between academia and industry, a deepened focus on country-specific research in Latin America, and the joint exploration of new opportunities to foster high-quality development in China-LAC relations. Deputy Director Lin underscored the importance of cultural exchange, highlighting the value of sharing China's development experience—rooted in Chinese modernization—with Latin American countries to support the common prosperity of the Global South. President Chi, drawing on the current status and potential of Ecuador's trade development, recommended enhancing bilateral trade cooperation and establishing long-term, stable partnerships.

The CLTTC will continue to leverage its role as an innovation hub, accelerating the application of advanced Chinese technologies in Latin America, optimizing bilateral trade structures, and driving mutual benefit. Looking ahead, China and Latin America will deepen cooperation across science and technology, trade and economy, and people-to-people exchange, working together to open a new chapter in China-LAC relations.
