On the morning of May 10, more than 20 students and teachers from all over the world from Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University visited Tsinghua University Research Institute for exchange activities. The event was hosted by the Latin American Research Institute of China-LAC Technology Transfer Center and organized by Guangdong Tsinghua University Innovation Research Institute (from now on referred to as "Tsinghua University Research Institute"). More than 20 students and teachers from all over the world from Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University participated in the talks, accompanied by Sun Shoufang, Vice President of Tsinghua University Research Institute, Shi Zuoyu, China-LAC Technology Transfer Center （CLTTC）, and other relevant persons in charge.
Mr. Shi Zuoyu, Deputy Director of CLTTC, presided over the meeting, during which the participants exchanged warmly and discussed international cooperation and synergies, platform technology services, technology transfer paths, and global market challenges.
At the meeting, Mr. Shi Zuoyu, Deputy Director of the Office of CLTTC, introduced the situation of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center to Tsinghua University's Schwarzman College. As one of the nine national transnational technology transfer institutions approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, CLTTC is tasked with the implementation of the "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Innovation Initiative and the Master Plan for the Construction of an International Science, Technology and Innovation Center in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area. With technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation as the main line, CLTTC is to build an internationalized platform for China's openness and collaboration with Latin American and Caribbean countries by constructing a technology transfer network covering both countries, promoting in-depth cooperation between enterprises, scientific research institutes, and institutions of higher learning in Latin America and the Caribbean, and facilitating the transfer of advanced and applicable technologies between China and Latin America and the Caribbean countries.
Mr. Sun Shoufang, Vice President of Tsinghua University, introduced the international business development of Tsinghua University Research Institute. Relying on Tsinghua's global network and Dongguan government resources, Tsinghua University Research Institute has built several overseas innovation platforms in the United States, Russia, Brazil, and other places and collaborated with the domestic platforms to carry out business together, which plays a vital role in the introduction of talents, introduction of projects, scientific and technological cooperation, and international exchanges, etc., and has accumulated several scientific and technological achievements.
This exchange activity allowed Schwarzman scholars from all over the world to further recognize our country's development and understand the efforts and contributions made by CLTTC and Tsinghua University Research Institute in the field of international scientific and technological cooperation and development. It promoted exchanges and cooperation among all parties and achieved positive results.
In the future, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center will further promote in-depth cooperation between Chinese and Latin American enterprises, scientific research institutes, and institutions of higher learning and provide cooperation space for deepening China-Latin America relations.
