November 3–4, the 18ᵗʰ China-LAC Business Summit was held at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Henan Province, and the People's Bank of China, the summit brought together over 1,000 representatives from various sectors across China and nearly 30 Latin American and Caribbean countries and regions. Participants gathered to discuss economic and trade cooperation and jointly create development opportunities. Lu Bing, assistant to the Executive Director, China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, attended the event upon invitation.
This conference, themed “Embracing Innovation and Intelligence for a Shared Future,” centers on innovation-driven leadership and intelligence-empowered development. It comprehensively showcases the breadth and depth of China-LAC cooperation across scientific and technological innovation, trade and investment, green development, and financial collaboration, highlighting the dynamic vitality of free, open, and globally integrated partnerships. During the opening ceremony, the Zhengzhou Initiative of Chinese and Latin American and Caribbean Business Communities was formally released. At the China-LAC Think Tank Cooperation Dialogue, the report on the China-LAC Interconnectivity Index Study was unveiled. The cooperative outcomes achieved at the conference open new avenues for advancing Sino-Latin American scientific, technological, and economic cooperation, serving as a solid foundation and vital support for deepening bilateral collaboration.
